
Over the ages, genetic cross-breeding has modified animal bodies for our use. They become machines for producing eggs, milk or meat, or are adapted to our hobbies.
Rescued for the most part from the agri-food industry, our fifty companions have been taken in following abandonment, seizure for mistreatment or “reform”.
The first to arrive were 31 sheep, entrusted to us by Oeuvre d’Assistance aux Bêtes d’Abattoirs, followed by 8 “cull” hens from an organic farm.
Others have joined us: hens threatened with the pan when they stop laying, others found wandering, roosters, abandoned rabbits and calves…
